PIPELINE SAFETY ENGINEER
WASHINGTON UTILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION
The Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission has an opening for a Pipeline Safety Engineer.
This position is specifically aimed at enhancing public health and safety through regulatory compliance. This is done primarily through conducting inspections of regulated hazardous liquid and gas pipeline companies, to ensure compliance with state and federal pipeline safety rules and regulations. Other duties include: responding to and investigating incidents; providing technical assistance to pipeline operators, local governments and communities; and improving safety laws and regulations. The position will receive extensive training that will lead to becoming a federally-certified pipeline safety inspector. Please refer to the attached job announcement for additional details.
