NAPSR NATIONAL MEETING 2010

On behalf of NAPSR I want to take this opportunity to invite you to the 2010 NAPSR National Meeting, September 27 to October 1, 2010, in Portland, Oregon, and to share some reasons for why you should attend. The meeting will begin with the traditional welcome reception on Monday night, and conclude on the following Friday.

Our conference is at the Embassy Suites in the heart of downtown Portland, Oregon.  Within steps of the hotel is shopping and a cultural district. The Portland International Airport is only nine miles northeast of the Hotel.  The MAX Light rail stop is only two blocks away and the Public Transit Mall is only one block away. The hotel is also located near the Willamette River Waterfront Park, The Pearl District, Pioneer Courtyard Square and Pioneer Place Mall.

We also plan to have a vendor display again this year, and encourage you to make time to visit their displays.

Some of the reasons you will want to attend:

  • A chance to meet, both in professional and in social settings, with many of your peers from across the country who face challenges similar to yours.

  • Opportunity to address issues that are critical to you with other states and/or PHMSA or to plan such sharing in the future.

  • To learn about the direction of NAPSR and the Association’s plans for the future, and to provide input and suggestions for such plans.

  • A chance to meet with and talk to PHMSA Headquarters policy and decision-makers.

  • And an opportunity for direct face-to-face, one-on-one contact with NAPSR Board and Committee members, to discuss concerns critical to your state.

Enclosed is the registration form, please complete the form and return it back to us by August 27, 2010, along with a check in the amount of $325.00 made out to the Oregon Public Utility Commission.

If you have any questions regarding the conference please contact John Ivey at (503) 378-3217 or john.ivey@state.or.us.

I look forward to seeing you in Portland.

Sincerely,

Michael Thompson
